Definitely male singers. But I guess this is because I listen mostly to classic/hard rock and there are just a lot more male singers in that genre. It's not that I have anything against female singers.

im a guy and if i had to choice one i would say male singers i think mostly cause a lot of guys voices sound the same except for a few that stand out
where as a female singer you usally know which one is singing just by her voice or at least i do i listen to mostly rock and i find i either love or hate the female singers voice but if listening to a guy i can tolarate the song a lil better

I prefer female singers and male rappers...
Im female.
I just think females have better range and ability.
Which makes the songs more interesting

i'm sorry to say it, but i find the majority of songs that are sung by female singers, suck! until they come up with some better material, i'm gonna have to say male singers, and according to sales, a couple of billion other people would agree!!! (male).

it depends on the genre of music for me...like metal and rock i prefer male (though the chicks are really good, like Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil) but more R&B and blues and really anything more "soulfull" i prefer females, i am a dude by the way

I'm a man and I like female singers.
Never did understand guys who have posters of guys on their walls!
If someone is singing a love song to me I want it to be a girl not a guy!

I like to listen to all, but at a push I like women singing as I aspire to be like them... Think Beyonce Alicia Keys. I am female
