Go to a piercing studio with a good reputation, and that are fully trained, you do not pierce yourself just the same as you do not perform an operation on yourself. Pierces are trained for a reason; they are not just people who stab needles into you, they are trained on what to do if something goes wrong, where to pierce and in blood pathology. As well as this they have fully sanitised rooms and equipment.

Always go to a studio unless you are trained in piercing yourself, never go to a piercing studio that do not use gloves or have un-sterilised equipment, never go to a studio that uses piercing guns (because guns are just as stupidly dangerous as piercing yourself), don't go to a piercing studio that pierce people underage.

If you pierce yourself without knowing how not only are you looking at not putting it in the right place, but infections and hepatitis B for a start but also tissue, skin and nerve damage, as well as scaring, granted a nose piercing may not bring about potentially fatal consequences, however it is still plain damn stupid.

You have no idea how many people I've seen come in with nasty scarring from home done piercings.
They come in the shop after because they messed up and want to get it done properly. Just get it done professionally, it will save you a lot of pain, hassel and possibly a lot of unnessary scarring and infection.

Proper piercings are done with a needle, not a gun.
(And thats not a sweing needle, or a saftey pin-they are not made of the correct metal, or are the correct gauge.)

Does someone have a nostril big enough to put a wine cork in?
You can have serious problems with nose piercing if it isn't done properly. Get it done professionally.

yeah DON'T! let the perfessionals do it before u be walking around more messed up than u are now. the nose is nothing to take lightly and if u get it infected u will really be hating life. it is not easy like ur ears. there is a lot of gristle the needle has to go through. i have seen it done and u most definitely need to let the professionals do it.

I pierced a guy's ear with an ice pick once. I see no reason why it wouldn't work for your nose.

Uhmm, you should seriously go to a specialist, if you can't, make sure all the tools you use are sterile. And like freeze wherever you want to pierce first, it will hurt way less. lol
