...questions with multiple spelling and grammar errors (we all make mistakes, and I type like I have ten thumbs, but spellcheck please), incomprehensible queries, racist rants and just general idiocy from the biosphere.
Solidarity, anyone?

Don't get me wrong; I understand some people are answering in a second language, and being a teacher in Japan, I can spot those. I just think it looks better if you check things yourself. Yes, I make mistakes too, but if I spot them, I really feel better about my contribution if it's corrected and edited.
Anyway, some food for thought from many of you. Thanks, and keep them coming!

All those things make me a bit nuts too, but if you refuse to answer misspelled questions I don't think you'd ever answer anything here! I can't answer incomprehensible queries....they're incomprehensible. I also ignore the idiocy. Racist rants though....sometimes I answer those in order to try to get them to possibly think for a minute. You never know, somewhere down the line something you said may start to take root and grow in their minds. (-:

Okay, I'll try to be with you on everything except the spelling and grammar mistakes. Sometimes I just can't resist replying to a really annoying questioner. But on the spelling and grammar deal, I am convinced there are many people on here truly doing the best they can (sometimes speaking a second or third language) and if I can understand their question and have anything to offer, I feel I should answer. I'm not like the spelling and grammar queen of the universe getting all personally offended by their missteps. It's just not a really big deal. It's sometimes pathic, but whatever.

I get where you're coming from. The stupid people annoy me too. But so many of the questions have errors and such that well...I just wouldn't be able to answer as many questions as I'd like to in a day. I need those points, you know.

Tiko ... I appreciate what you are saying, but I am a professional writer, I have one work out, and two more in process. We depend on our editors, we do not catch all of the errors. If we are pros, and we have to depend on editors, I think we can be more understanding of the average person who is out there. Just my opinion. Take it for what it is worth.

I can tolerate some spelling or grammatical errors, but either pass over crank questions or turn them back on their owners like ravenous hyenas.

Ignorant questions are asked everyday. Grammatical errors are going to happen. Pretentious people like you are going to rant and rave.

I believe in tolerance. Do you mean that just because someone needs to improve their grammatical skills that they don't deserve an answer?
I think that you have a lot to learn!!!

Click on my avatar and look at the last answer I gave (christian warrior I think it was). Anyways, look at his profile. I don't know if he's for real or not... I sure hope not.
P.S. I'm with you all the way.
