1989 Merc G. Marquis 5.0.........Eliminating the dying battery thing, My fuel pump stays on and ironically my battery dies. So i'm testing everything that would kill battery, The batt. is brand new, still has great charge, alternator has great continuity, so this is my last option before FOR SALE sign gets in window.

On the driver fender well near the master cylinder in a black box it should be labeled .

its green and ford liked to put them all over the place back then, check under the drivers seat, passenger side kick panel, anywhere along the front inner fenders. that also has a fuel pump cut-off switch in the trunk, usually on the left side behind the panel, if you cant find the relay just hit the car right there and it should trip the switch :) just make sure you reset it before you leave lol, ok not a smart idea but a good one

i had a 5.0 89 mustang and the fuel pump relay was behind the passenger side kick panel a easy way to find it may be to have someone hook and un hook the battery and listen for a click in the car or under the hood

Check in the fuse box .(just a maybe.) Then I would suggest getting a chiltons manual for your car they have wiring diagrams and such in them(with location of parts!)

Under the hood in a black box- it is square- at least most are and black also
