That is so weird, I actually had a dream exactly like that. I dreamed that I was floating in this blue light, it was so beautiful, it was a shade that doesn't seem to exist in this world. It was the most pure blue imaginable. Anyway, I was moving towards the ship, and the aliens were saying that if I wanted, they would take me from here and they could give me infinite knowledge and wisdom, that which surpassed any mortal man. Instantly I said yes, and as I did, I started thinking of all that which I would be leaving behind, and I said a quite prayer goodbye. I was right up next to the ship and my mother woke me up. I had never been so pissed in my entire life, and to this day I have not got over that.

hahahah i love how you say, "not sure... so maybe that means aliens." anthropology is the study of human culture past and present and there are many different sects, but that's besides the point.
i would NEVER leave earth if it meant i couldn't return. totally not worth it because my love for other people defines the meaning of my life. so without out them, my life would be cold. plus, who knows, they might want to painfully observe and vivisect my body to study homo sapien anatomy. SCARY!
or even WORSE-- make alien-human hybrid babies.
ahhhhh!!

I would only go with them if they were a species of fine rightful intent, that intends to exterminate and replace the human species on earth, in which case I would provide them with all assistance possible.
As for 'discovering the fundamental secrets of the universe', a HUMAN has already done that, and posted them on the internet. They are at:

With all do respect, but I think this is more like a poll (although you maybe wanted to express something else), and this is not what yahoo answers for!. Unless you mention your question more directly.

I would go. I would have the opportunity to see what others could not, to go beyond the realms of what we as humans fathom as reality. To truly find my place in understand purpose. The real answer is in one's definition of self. Live in ignorance of others in our universe or to seize the chance to grab for wisdom in understanding.

I'd try to start a conversation with them, about where they come from.. what they want to do with me.. etc.. I'd have so many questions to ask but I'd probably not go with them anyway.

well, they would really have to sweeten the pot -- it depends upon who else is on this space craft with me. if they managed to snag george noory, ian punnett, and of course the notorious art bell, hell, i'd take a ride!
