Because the Sears Tower is not straight all the way to the top, it depends from which side you drop the glass. On two of the sides, it will likely hit the roofs of the other parts of the building on the way down and stop there.

If it is on either of the other sides.it will likely hit a pedestrian and kill them. I think critical mass is something like 180 miles per hour.

If you manage to drop any object from the Sears Tower
It will accelerate so fast that it will kill any person beneath in the ground level or it will make a small hole in the sidewalk whenever it touches it
