I'm not sure if kitty will like Juicy Fruit gum or not, but here is the method I used, Don't need to any more, they are gone.
Buy a .35 cent pack of Juicy Fruit gum, slighly chew each of the 5 pieces and put them back in the aluminum foil wrapper and place them at spaces far apart in the yard where the mole has raise hills up. in about 1 week you will know they are gone, the damage will be over and Mr Mole is dead underground in a digestive nightmare. It will be your judgement if kitty will leave the gum alone... ? I don't know much about kittys.

The moles are in your yard because they're finding food to eat, namely grubs. So if you get rid of the grubs the moles will move, like to your neighbors' yards.
Use Milky Spore to eliminate the grubs. It takes awhile to become fully effective but it last for years. It's a naturally occuring bacteria, so it won't hurt your pets or plants like a chemical product could.
You can buy Milky Spore from a number of garden catalogs, garden centers or maybe even your local hardware store.

Moles eat more than just grubs, they eat other insects that live in the ground also worms and such.
And as for gum its not part of their diet why would they want to eat it? its an old wives tale.
I let my dog dig a mole trail she dug along for 10 feet and never got the mole the trail was fresh but not that fresh:( I was left with a bigger mess than the mole leaves
Moles hate lime you can spread lime and it will send them packing for a bit as will granulated Castor oil and is good for the lawn.
But the only tried and true method is trapping them and its not easy. One mole can do enough digging in day to make you think there's 10 of them so there's not many to trap. like your first answer said look up moles on the browser

To get rid of the moles - you have to get rid of the grubs.
There is a product called 'Milky Spore Powder' that is sold in Home improvement centers with the bug killers - I had gone to a local nursery and seen it there.
Put it down by spoonfulls every so many inches - what it does is creates a bacteria that is ONLY harmful to the grubs. If you do it now, it will start working into your soil and will last up to 15 yrs - it starts a little slow (needs to grow) and when it finally gets down into the soil depths, no more grubs - no more moles.

You have to get rid of the grubs first.the grubs eat the roots of your grass and landscaping ,and the moles eat the grubs. There is a product called milky spore. It is environmentally safe, but not for grubs.Take out a piece of your grass where you see the damage from the mole and look at the root.If it looks sparce or If there are {red bean like} things there those are the grubs UGH! . I Just got rid of them, and the mole, or moles. I don't want to know .All I know is one day I am planting, and these beans were there as we examined them they moved UGH.. I went on-line and found myself a cure.
GOOD LUCK..

Use Juicy fruit gum. Find the tunnels and using a knife make a hole big enough for a stick of gum. Unwrap the gum and don't chew it. Just put the sweet gum down in the hole the moles, voles and gophers will nibble around on the gum and it will stick in their throats causing them to suffocate and die. Go to the gardening expert "Jerry Baker' website and you will see that he recommends Juicy fruit gum for this problem. It worked for us. We also lay down a cutworm remover powder in the yard every spring as the moles like to eat worms.

get a dog, some type of terrier, digging is what they love to do, and if they get one it is dead. You will have to fill the holes they dig. Or you could buy the stuff from Wal Mart that kills the grubs the moles are feeding on. Kill the moles or kill the food supply. Good luck!
