Specifically I'm looking for Goo Goo Dolls "Better Days" but I don't want to spend $10 or $20 just to register with a service for one song.

You don't have to register with any service to just buy a song, all you have to do is download their software. However, iTunes definilty just charges by the song ($1 per song $10 per album)

for 1 song you dont have to pay a thing what you can do is first install a program where you can download music like ares then download that 1 song then once you put in on your ipod or whatever just unistall that program and you wont have to pay a thing hers the instuctions on getting ares is the best it has the fastest downloading system faster than bearshare.limewire and many more heres the instructions on gettin ares.......first downlaod ares for www.aresgalaxy.sorceforge.net then it says download ares then click on that then thiz weird lookin screen pops up go down and 1 will say easynews the by it it will say phoenix arizona the next it will say download then click on that
