Do you think this is always true? I found that guys I like have some things in common with my father, but, even though I love my father very much, I don't want a guy that's too much like him. Because if ''girls end up being just like their mothers'' and ''marry the guy just like their father'' then guess what happens?! That's scary: I want to try a life that's different from Mom and Dad's. So, what do you think about this? If you're a woman, did you marry a guy who was just like your father?

I had married a guy that had many of the traits of my dad, uncluding some of the abusive ones. I stayed for 20 long, miserable years, then left and divorced him. I haven't looked back since.
I believe that a lot of girls/women find guys a lot like their dads, but they may do it unknowingly. They have no idea, until they actually compare the two guys and live with their guy, that they are so much the same. I guess that would be good if you had a great dad, but horrible if you had a bad dad.

I don't think so. My hubby is totally different from my dad. My dad is not the family man untill something bad happens in the family then he wants to start Sunday Dinners but that does not last long. My hubby spends all day Sundays at home with me and our two kids. He wants me to go to bed the same time he does, and when I was in the hospital after having our kids he would stay with me cause he did not want to be in the house with out me there.

Heck no, I fell for someone who is totally the opposite of my father. My father wasn't the best father in the world, but he also wasn't the worst either.
