what is the difference between a major in Law and a major in criminal justice? are they the same?

check the courses to see if one course of action is more appealing..but as for the jobs you will be qualified for after you get a bachelor's degree in either one of these subjects..no they are not the same. put it a different way.. you will get the same kind of job with either major

I believe that the difference is the amount of study that one must commit to either degree. Typically for a law degree, one has to have an undergraduate degree AND three years of law school; to become a certain type of attorney, even more education is required to obtain a jurisdoctorate degree.

I have seen 2-year associate degree programs and 4-year undergraduate degrees in criminal justice; such study apparently takes much less investment in time and money.

No-- not at all. Criminal Justice is more to become a police officer or in local government, and law/pre-law on all aspects of the law, not just criminal law.

no, but many in my class went to law school after they had finished criminal justice...it was easier for them...
