It is possible for you to get fatter quicker if you eat fast. It takes about 20 mintues for your brain to realize how full your stomach is. If you eat fast, you may be eating more than you need to be because your brain does not realzie how full you are. If you eat slowly enough, your brain will catch up with your stomach and tell you when you have actually had enough.

babybluelefteye has it right. The problem with eating fast, related to weight gain, is that your Brain and Stomach dont communicate very quickly due to the way digestion works, and people who eat fast tend to over eat.
Digestively speaking it is also better to eat slow because you more thoroughly chew your food, which in turn helps the digestive system.

kinda. but mainly more no, if you eat slower, then your body feel's fuller, because you are taking your time to eat. Rather then stuff it all in your mouth within 4 minutes.
If you eat really fast, your going to be hungry within the next 10 minutes, So just eat your meal's slower and enjoy them.
That way you will not feel as hungry for the rest of the day.

The problem with eating fast is you don't know that you are full until way after the fact, because it takes awhile for your body to process it. If you eat slow you are going to be able to be in tune with your body, and know when you are done eating.

Kind of true but not necessarily! It takes a while for your body to realise that its full so if you eat faster then you will be eating while you are full and not knowing it and therefore you will eat more and, VOILA! get fatter :D

Well, I will try to answer your question. Eating faster doesn't make you fat - HOWEVER, eating slower tricks your brain. When you eat slower, your brain has a chance to catch up with your stomach (body), that way it tells you that you are full when you are full. If you eat too fast, your brain my still think that you are hungry because the food tastes sooo good, smells sooo good...etc.

it takes about 20 minutes from the time you begin eating for your brain to register you are full. SO....if you eat fast you can cram more food in before you are full than if you eat slowly. So yes, you
can get fat by eating fast because you stuff in more calories. m

I SO BELIVE THAT! I don't know if you get fatter quicker but you get fat because your stomach doesn't have time to say that you are full if you eat fast. but i don't think that you have to chew 100 times.

Yes. Your body takes about 20 minutes to feel "full", so if you eat fast, too much food gets in your body before it can signal that it's full and you overeat and gain weight. Slow down and chew each bite about 20 times, or put your utensil down in between bites.

yes, its entirely true becuase if you eat fast it takes a while for it to actually get to your stomach and so if you eat fast and take in to much food a lot of that food will not be needed so it simply turns in to fat.
