I was watching MSNBC and they were interviewing different people (was babysitting my granddaugher so I missed a little of it)--- this guy DID say the only thing we CAN do is secure our boarders and that terrorists are MORE THAN LIKELY in the U.S.A. planning something. Earlier I asked for people's views on the exact same thing (this guy was a terrorist expert) and I was bashed by a couple people. There is a REAL GOOD CHANCE that we are living amongst our enemies and not know it. Is our country naive? There is so much information on terrorism...books, etc. (Al Queda is just ONE group --- there are MANY - people don't know this). If you research it (I worked where the library was full of terrorism books because of my position) and people really do not KNOW. Are we setting ourselves up? I don't care if you call me "paranoid" or whatever. If you do though, then you DO NOT KNOW the facts and what is out there. NOW that an expert says it, am I now right?

Yes, I believe our enemies are living amongst us. Terrorists may have already infiltrated our schools, churches, work places & are waiting here living their lives as they have been told until further instructions from their head honcho.

You are more likely to be struck by lightning than encounter a terrorist.
The only thing the US can reasonably do is get it's meddling schoz out of the middle east.

I would much rather take my chances being a victim of a terrorist attack than have my every move monitored, hand over my civil liberties, or deal with the BS I do at the airport nowadays.

The world is not safe. Every time you go down the stairs or get into a car, you are putting yourself at risk. If terrorism shuts down the borders and leaves us bound, labeled and paranoid, than they have more power than the US will ever have.

there are so many rude people oh answers unfortunatly. and they usually pop off and have no idea what they're going on about. anyway, i understand where you're comming from. you have a right to be concerned. we all have to be don't we. and let's face it. THE NEWS KEEPS US INFORMED RIGHT??? implying we have a right to know. and if anyone should be "accused" of starting mass histeria, well say thanks to the media. no one here is trying to do that. and most of us (with the exception of the rude one, who are apprently ignorant too) are able to use our intelligence and can tell who is just "popping off" or who is trying to stir things up. of course our enemys are close. but that's the way it's always been and always will be. i'm not going to stop living or live in fear because someone doesn't like me.

Nobody wants to incite panic, but yes, the USA is loaded with people who would do us harm.

You have a right to be concerned and a duty to inform.
