I disagree.
One of the key reasons he walked on the 50 million is because he noticed that Comedy Central wanted to control what he did more and more as he got more popular. Instead of letting Dave write everything the way he did before with Neal, CC seemed to give him more and more 'hints'/pressure to do the things that were most popular the season before.
Also, Dave noticed that while he was told certain ideas were too risque, he would look across the office building at Matt Parker and Trey Stone and see that they could put in literally any material they wanted no matter how risque, raunchy, or intentionally offensive with no problems. Meanwhile, they told Dave he was going too far in some of his potential material. That's called a slap in the face, I can see the argument by some it might be some sort of unintentional racism.
Either way, you should know that Comedy Central is absolutely pissed at the deal breaking down. They didn't give him the full 50 million, by the way, only money equal to what he produced. But they are absolutely pissed at losing the biggest thing they've ever had.
Hope this helps.

I don't think it's a publicity stunt at all.
If you consider "The Lost Episodes" a season, i think this will be the last season of Chappelle's Show although I am sad to see it go. One of the FUNNIEST shows i have ever seen.
Dave is no doubt an expert comedian who knows how to make people laugh but back to subject :).
It's not a publicity stunt seeing as how there probaly isn't going to be another season.

You should look for the interviews that Dave did with TIME Magazine, with Oprah Winfrey, and on "Inside the Actor's Studio", and you will gain a better perspective on where his head is at. He also laid out the terms under which he would return to Comedy Central.
Whatever he decides to do, I wish him the very best of luck, since he is one funny and talented man.

I truly think Dave was disappointed in his new season and is too honest to accept money for work that suxs. he new skits are too racial in a negative way. his old stuff was educational and liberating. All races loved it. I admire him for not being "Hollywood". No, I don't think it was a ploy at all.
