I used to love this kid like a little brother and now i'm starting to love him in a different way- but i just found out he does drugs. I've known him since we were both really little and don't know what to do. Im 15, he's 14.

I think there's certain levels of a "druggy". If he's doing more than drinking some beers and smoking a little pot, then you should tell him how you feel and that he should stop now before it's too late. I'm 25 and a kid I know just slipped into a drug induced coma and died about a month ago and he was younger than me and started being a heroin addict in high school. Don't wait and say something if you feel he's crossed the line.

if you've known him for so long don't you think maybe you should confront him about the drugs and tell him he needs help.
If more people showed they care when someone they know is into drugs maybe a few might turn out alright, it is a very cold world and it would seem to me is now that they need a Friend, just someone to say they care, it can go a long way.

Well, what kind of drugs does he do? If he does hardcore stuff like coke or meth, maybe you should distance yourself from him, if he isn't willing to see that its really bad for him. However, if he is just doing some minor like pot or something like that, understand that those drugs don't significantly alter the person or harm them, and if you can open your mind and accept his decision, then things might be able to continue. Just make sure he doesn't pressure you to do anything you don't want to - just as you are respectful of his decision, he must be respectful of yours. If he doesn't stop pressuring you when you ask him to, find someone more worthwhile to spend your time with.

You may want to start by not referring to such a friend as a "druggy". A friend would talk to that person and voice her concerns for their safty and health. Maybe he needs a good influence. But acting like you don't know won't get you anywhere. Speak up.

You avoid him like the plague, you tell him to straighten up and get his poop in a group before he screws up his entire life. What you don't do is let him close enough to yours to screw it up too! Druggies care about nothing but drugs, don't think you are different, don't think he is different, don't think you can fix him, you can't and he isn't.

If you love him , get him help. Do it anonymously if need be. Unless your very strong willed its very hard not to do drugs yourself to remain close to this guy. Everyone loves to share. Be smart and tell someone he respects that will help him.

if you were really a friend you would try to help him to get off drugs, how do you "use to" love someone and then not, if you really love someone you are there no questions asked.

If he'll listen, talk to him about it. Encourage him to stop before it's too hard to stop.
