Sit on something the height of an Aerobic Step - the point is not to be too high off the ground - and use your own weight to work out your lower abdominal muscles by slowly lifting your entire leg off the floor and up - doesn't have to be too high - at least to the same level of where you are sitting. Do reps of those, each leg. Good reps would be 3 reps of 12 for each leg once a day.
As you get better, you can sit a little higher, etc.

You can do a modified version of an abdominal crunch. Prop yourself back on a pillow, and do crunches. Not a full sit up.
It's very good to do abdominal exercises when pregnant - it not only aids in labor, but has been proven to aid in C-section healing time.
In the book called "what to expect when you're expecting" you can see quite a few illustrations of good, modified for pregnant women, exercises.

Yes, do yourself a HUGE favor and get the book, "Mummy Tummy." The author is an RN who has studied a lot about the ab muscles during and after pregnancy. It talks about "diastasis" which is when your ab muscles separate during pregnancy in order to make room for your growing uterus and then come back together after you give birth. Unfortunately, in 90% of women those muscles never come all the way back together, leaving us with flabby tummys that don't get better with exercise. Anyways, her book goes into the best exercises during and after pregnancy to preserve your muscles and keep your tone! I highly recommend it. I found it at the library, so I'd suggest checking it out there if you don't want to buy the book. You can also check out her website. Good luck!
