I'm 32 and I like computers, so something for the computer would be cool, like my gf gave me a really cool keyboard a while back, out of the blue, and I loved it
I like books so a good book or gift certificate for a bookstore would be cool (or a gift certificate to any store you know he likes)
money is always the best, always has been, but if you are trying for something more personal, a gift certificate might be better
just get him something you know he likes!

A nice cologne would be a great gift. I would go with Dolce & Gabbana or Eternity (Eternity is old, but it's the best selling cologne since it hit the shelves in 1990!!)

I'm a male in my 30s, and I'd have to say a good gift for me would be a bottle of wine or a subscription to a dirty magazine. hahaha

Well think about the things he is really into..like a favorite hobby or something along those lines..then get him a gift based on that.

It depends how close you are to this person...........You could always go for a really good and expensive (not too expensive) bottle of alcohol or some kind of sports memorabilia framed or i recently went to a 30th b'day and bought my friend a wine barrel on a strand in silver and then had it engraved................I hope that helped a bit ;-)
