Before jumping into marriage, I would spend some quality time with this person and find out what has been going on the last ten years. Things have happened in both of your lives, so you need to gather some information before you get involved.

How can you marry someone you haven't even talked with for 10 years? Just because you have a history, doesn't mean you get married. I went with a guy 25 years ago, we hooked up again 25 years later, we went together for a couple of years, and yes even talked about marriage, and I am soooo thankful that we didn't. We thought because we knew each other that long ago, and then got hooked up again, that it was "meant to be."
Wrong! It wasn't! We broke up the same way we did back then. The very same thing happened again, I was unhappy again, and found someone else. Again. He was still the same idiot that he was all those years ago, just older.

Not certain if i would jump into marriage. 10 years is a good chunk of time you haven't been with him. I would take it slow and see how things work out, including how he and your daughter interact.
