Having sex does not influence having your period, unless pregnancy has occurred. If you feel you may be pregnant, your best bet is to wait at least two weeks after a missed period, and see your doctor for a pregnancy blood test as this is the most accurate way of testing. Period abnormalities can also be due to stress, weight gain/loss, thyroid, hormonal imbalance, infection, medications, illness, polyp, cyst, amongst other reasons. You should see your doctor for an exam and testing to determine what exactly is going on.

depending on your age, skipping or delayed periods are due to a lot of things, such as stress not necessarily from sex especially if it's protected sex.
