I'm not afraid of death. Death is a natural part of life and I'm actually quite fascinated with it. I think others fear it because they fear what will happen after they die or maybe because they have always had in mind that they were going to live a very long time. It's hard to imagine dieing. I wonder what it would be like to die, but I want to live a very long and successful life before that. Death is inevitable and it will come someday. I'm not afraid of death, but I'm frightened on how I will die. I wouldn't mind dieing in my sleep, but I'm afraid of dieing a very scary way. Like being trapped somewhere with no way out, being buried alive, starving to death, or something else that would be very slow and painful. I think that's another reason why people fear death. They fear how they are going to die and don't want to die a cruel twisted way. We don't know what truly happens after we die so maybe the sense of not existing anymore frightens people the most.

I'm not afraid of death. Think about it. If we lived forever, after a few hundred years, we'd be bored out of our minds and go crazy. Death is the completion of a fulfilled life. I am afraid I may die before I get to live my life, and that I can't live to be a happy person and give back to society, but I will welcome death when I'm ready for it.

And I am not religious. I don't believe in god or heaven. I cannot accept the fact that god will be so ruthless, and let mass murderers into heaven if they begged for forgiveness, but not an athiest who lived a good life. If there is a god, I want to believe in a god who lets good people into heaven, and not just followers of jesus.

I don't understand how you can welcome death. Every one fears death; some may come to terms and accept it, but there will always be an element of fear. Going into the unknown is always frightening, and the thought of what will happen to those left behind is a worry in itself.

Seize the day.

death is nothing to fear because we have all been through it several times.allow me to explain.it is a proven fact that every day billions of cells in your body die off and are reborn.every seven years your entire body died and was born again.the body you had as a child didnt stretch,it died and was replaced with a bigger one.over time the cells get weak and dont do as good a job of replacing the body, you get older, and older, till the cells can no longer reproduce and you experience bodily "death"but during any of your other deaths did you black out or forget who you are?..of course not.so when you life is over you will pass into another existance and retain all memory of who you were in this life.so many documented cases of people who died and came back after seeing loved ones, jesus, ect while they were dead..so no,i dont fear death,i look forward to a new adventure after i take my last breath in this world.

After seeing the movie "Boys Don't Cry" and seeing how much hope a person can have and how much love they have for and from another person and then in a split second it's gone... that really freaked me out... i kinda get afraid of my loved ones dying... I just don't want to see anyone I love dying before they are naturally supposed to....

I don't understand people who are afraid of death either. People give me funny looks when I tell them that death and life are the same thing -- two sides of the same coin. It's just natural.

Not afraid of death (look forward more and more to it as I get older), but I AM afraid of a long, drawn-out, painful death - especially one that causes trauma to loved ones.

No, but I'm not looking forward to it. I want to live forever. ok.. Not forever. I want to live until the end of Earth. Unless we discover new planets, and somehow I could travel to that planet. Then I would just want to live until their is no one to keep me company. I want to see all the amazing things life has to offer. I would like a friend to live forever with me though... I would get lonely on a distant planet on my own :( We can both die when their are no humans or intelligent creatures to keep us company.

There really is nothing to fear is you know that you are going to be in Heaven. But if you are lost, meaning you are not a born again Christian, you have waiting for you an after life if eternal torment and burning in Hell. Repent, accept Christ, ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Then you will have nothing to fear!
