I resent but do not hate it.

I feel they are intruding on my space. They are so selfish as to think everyone should listen to their choice of music. No thanks, I'd like to choose for myself.

It usually some thumping pounding kind of music that penetrates your car even with the windows closed, right?

Some cities now have ordinances addressing how far away music can be heard from vehicles. That is a start, but loud music coming from a neighbors house is also irritating. I heard of a guy who complained to police that the neighbors music was too loud several times before anything was done about it. the loud music people resented the one who complained and harassed him, so he bought a monster set of speakers and blasted Beethoven and Bach at them everytime they played their stuff. They called the police four times on him before they showed up, heh heh heh. They didn't like their own treatment.

Ya gotta love that guy huh????

Whether or not I like the music, it will be distracting...HOWEVER if you appear annoyed or say anything, you COULD be the direct object of some VIOLENCE. And if you have a convertable, you're better off in the desert at 75 MPH with no traffic at all!
Be aware of your surroundings WITHOUT staring at the other car or people. Have the doors locked in case they REALLY like your car or dislike YOUR looks.
Try not to drive alone at night or with one or two other girls. esp at night. Late class? Get security or a large friend to see you safely to your car, once inside lock all the doors. If "bumped into at night" make your way to a police station or a well lighted area to trade insurance information. Hit and Run? Do not give chase...you can get the car fixed or replaced...but getting yourself hurt or killed...just not worth it!

I usually wind down the window and get the person to turn it down and then say " I am so sorry to find out that you are deaf. But don't worry new discoveries are being made everyday!" and then drive on. Of course, in my class I was voted most likely to get punched in the muscle around my mouth.

Not really. My car stereo is not working, so sometimes I start jamming out to whatever the guy next to me has on... Music is salve to our tired souls. You know you are old when you expect the rest of the world to turn it down.
