Sir, I would tread very lightly on this one...don't undercut his feelings by making this seem trivial to you...because it is anything but to him I'm sure. I would venture to guess that it is very hurtful to you as well....I would advise you to open up the dialog to him and allow him to share with you his feelings about it, and what about the situation is giving him the very most trouble...and then proceed from there. Explain how some people have no idea what moxy it takes to live in this world with less than others, and tell him what it will say about his character as a person if he is able to stay in school and do what is needed to transcend the trailer park and move himself into a different situation in his adult life...but then with that also show him that being in a trailer doesn't make you any kind of failure....tell him that it is more important to be a success as a human being...teach him that being a failure as a man would be raising a child that is intolerant and has no true class....teach him that you can have all of the money in the entire world, but that even that can not buy you class.....clearly there are some parents in your area that are tucking their kids in tonight .....that not only have no clue...they are crippling their kids by encouraging them not to have a clue either......Tough Job there ahead of you...Good Luck and God Bless.

Just because you live in a trailer,it does not make you trash!Tell your son to ignore those jerks,tell him to keep up with his education and one day those same people who are making fun of him now will be taking orders from him later!

Some jerks heard the term "trailer trash" and think it is cool to throw that around. They are just hateful kids that have nothing else to do other than to pick on other kids. Tell your son you are glad he has more class than these morons.
