Well at least in the immediate future of space exploration... it's not as if NASA let's every looney into their program. The first settlements will be "carefully selected", as all astronauts are. I'm sure we'll be able to destroy any other settlement they let the mass population inhabit.

It depends who goes.
I do know that astronauts of all nations get along fine, like a brotherhood (sisterhood). Even during the cold war, astronauts from Russia and USA all commented from space, while looking down on the big blue planet "why can't we live in peace on such a beautiful planet".
Maybe seeing Earth as just a big ball from space, instills on us the feeling of the fragility of the place.
But when ordinary people go into space, it might be a different story.

We can't just go to another planet and think it will solve our problems. Even in life we have learned that we can't run away from our problems, because running away never solves anything. Deep down everyone want peace, but for so long the world have survived with both good and evil, and perhaps it too doesn't know how to live in peace as a whole. Perhaps people our scared, because if there is peace, there would be nothing to fight for. And for as long as we can remember, people have been fighting countless battles, not just in war, but in life. As said as it is to say, we may never be able to live in peace, because we wouldn't even know where to begin.

Well basically we're full of crap so a likely destination would be planet Maalox. At least we would be regular people and that is a step in the right direction. The planet pamprin would be a good choice too. But seriously, perhaps if we adopted a new belief system, one based on reality and not myth would be a good start. How many conflicts are religion based or justified by religion?

your question is confusing;
are you talking about the weather and climate of another planet? or about human to human interaction?
If you are talking about weather/ climate issues: there could be planets millions and millions times better to live compared to earth, who knows? Anything is possible. A ready made planet where everything is available including plants, trees, food, water, oxygen, pleasant weather, animals everything except intelligent animals similar to human beings. Evolution might have stopped at monkey level so no human like extraordinary intelligent animal was produced. Who knows? All we have to do is to reach there somehow. Life is heaven from day one. In about a year time we can have all modern stuff including electricity, internet, cable, buildings, schools, banks etc etc etc. No body will fight when we reach that planet as animals are the highest intelligent creatures. Chicken, fish, mutton, beef on your dinner from day number one.
Since we do not know what is out there in the universe all possibility exists so it is not impossible to have planets conducive to human beings without putting any effort from our side.
If you are talking about our interactions among ourselves; how does it make any difference anyway? If we live in another planet we will be still “We” only, so our basic nature will not change. We are not searching other planets to improve our relation. To improve our relations we do not need other planets, just we have to shed our ego, but who will do it first? Would you surrender your ego first?

We're not "native to Earth," strictly speaking. We're native to East Africa. We evolved in what is now tropical Kenya; over the last 80,000 years or so we colonized the rest of the planet.
Let's keep that distinction in mind. These 80,000 years have been a constant record of warfare, blood feuds, and bloody-minded competition among differing groups of colonists.
Food and other wealth production has historically been so marginal that it often was easier to take what other folks had, than make it yourself.
I think its a little presumptuous to assume that with industrial wealth, our space-borne descendants would bother taking what other, future, colonists possess.
Still, the solar system has thousands of times more resources than the Earth. I'm sure we'll find things to quarrel over out there. We're ingenious that way.

Maybe living on another planet would be good for mankind. Consider the idea that living conditions were tougher and we all had to rely on each other a little more. People take for granted just how much we are all intertwined. Maybe if that concept was constantly slapping us in the face we would be more apt to try to help, be nice, and take care of one another. Just a thought. :)

Well, We are not searching for another Planet to live on because we all cannot get along...... We are searching for another Planet to live on before a huge Astroid crashes into Earth and we have another Ice Age. Good question though.

there is lots outdoors of our image voltaic equipment that we've little or no information on so that you'll be able to no longer answer your question except likely using accessible variety of differing planets contained in the universe. in spite of the undeniable fact that, interior our image voltaic equipment, in case you've been in a aerostat, a floating city supported with the aid of nitrogen oxygen contained in the heavy CO2 environment of Venus at an altitude of fifty km, The rigidity must be a million environment and the temperatures 0? to 50?. you ought to in hardship-free words favor an oxygen mask and some secure practices from the sulfuric acid rain to be outdoors. in spite of the undeniable fact that, you would possibly want to show screen the doorstep, you do not opt to fall off the aerostat.

Living on another planet, or the moon, isn't the same as "getting along" on one. But we still can't quit trying, to get along or to live on another planet or moon. I'm not scientifically intelligent enough to know the details as to why we need to live anywhere but planet earth, but I'm Christian enough to know why we need to learn to get along, no matter how miserable I am at it. God Bless you.
