i have a firewire external Macintosh drive how can I get my pc to see that drive?

Your external hardrive needs to be formatted in the MS-DOS file system in order for Windows see the drive.

1. Back up any essentail files on your hard drive.

2. To format your hard drive using the MS-DOS file system, connect it to your Mac and start the Disk Utility application located in Applications → Utilities folder. Under the 'Erase' tab, select MS-DOS File System for the volume format and click erase.
