Because if they have no intention of converting and the man does not intend to renounce Judaism, then how can anything come of the relationship? Doesn't mean that there are no hot Jewish guys...cuz there certainly are...just means that no woman wants to fall head over heels crazy in love for a man that she can't have forever!

To be sure...SOME are...but Jews like Adam Sandler are fascinating people and we are certain that he was indeed a "babe magnet" before he got married. Some Jewish mothers would rather that their sons were not dating Shicksas (sp) or non-Jewish, Gentile types.
This is perhaps due to hoping for the daughter they never had.

Because their parent would not agee. On the other hand the parents of the man may able take a dim view and shun him for marrying a non jew.

Jews freak me out. Not for any particular reason, but once a group of them came up to me at the airport and were preaching to me and I got really pissed off. Also, their praying ritual was weird to me. I also like cooking pork products, so it would never work.

If they are not Jewish the boys Mom and Dad will try to discourage the relationship sometimes. Especially the old order Jewish. I had a Jewish boyfriend for a long time. and it was wonderful!!!!!!!
