this will be a teenagers 1st car ....it needs to have good acceleration but not nesesarely a high top speed....? can anyone help

Personally, I wouldn't give a teenager a powerful car, as the likelihood of them having an accident in the first year of driving is quite high, with ANY car.
A Toyota Camry I-4 automatic is more than sufficient.

a great 4 door car for a teenager is a saturn ion .these are great cars. my husband is a car salesman at saturn of asheville.

A Volkswagen Beetle. They are cute and different plus really cheap. Oh..i dunno if they are 4 doors. But i know that car has a 4 star crash test rating.
