Okay, this is a very general question, but I'll sum it up - How much money should a person have once they move out of their parents' house after high school? This is money for rent, food, clothes, etc.

Thanks.

Where I live, they suggest $15,000 per year to cover everything: tuition, books, rent, bills, clothing, entertainment, food, etc. Normal tuition in my area is $6,000 per year, so I guess they assume you need $9,000 in living expenses (for an eight-month period).
