Here here!!!
oh and to the girl who said wiggers below that is a racist term you are in effect saying the N word because you have styalised it and said "WHITE n*ggers" you do realise that right?
Anyone who uses the word wigger is as racist as someone who uses the word n*gger

So then you must certainly agree that when black youth don't dream of one day becoming an NBA player or a rap star and actually achieve academic success, they aren't "acting white". I read a book written by a black sociologist that grew up in I think Queens and he always got picked on by his black peers for "acting white" because he enjoyed reading and other academic pursuits. I find that very sad. I certainly hope that doesn't generally happen anymore. I think both of these labels are damaging because it still serves to highlight the (almost entirely arbitrary and even ficticious) "differences" between the races and perpetuates these crap stereotypes. You raised an excellent point and I commend you for that.

sorry dear but you are talking a load of bull yes there is I come from a predominately white society and there presently no blacks residing here for more than a mere decade .But i see kids white kids with posters of tupac and all that stuff and when they speak its like baby tupacs or any of those dudes. Its ok though because thats what they think is cool . its just another way . Several of my friend really get thick about it though and I can understand why. the whole rap thing is about gangsters and crime its not really a way for white kids Black kids dont go around singing van halen or talking like Jim Morrison or singing friggin Keane songs now Or Do They?????????

I'm sorry but I did not understand a word after 'for the last time'.
What exactly is the point you are trying to make?
If other people can understand you then you are communicating. Fait accompli.
If you want to invent a language, fair enough, but if you are the only one to speak it where does that leave you?
It's lonely out there.

ooooookkkkkkkkkkk then......whatever you say. Guess I missed the earlier discussions cause Im clueless. To my knowledge, only uneducated people talk with street slang. Most black people who dont talk that way would be offended by your stupid comment. Educated people carry theirselves as such...right down to the way they speak. Color isnt the issue...its education or ignorance.

Living in Yorkshire I always think it's great when I meet a guy in traditional Islamic dress, or a rastafarian, or a Sikh in turban, or whoever and they talk with a proper Yorkshire accent. It's great living in a multicultural society.

You're right.
Though there are wiggers. They're the ones who all think talking like a ghetto wankster, puts them on par with a ghetto gangster. More like Slim Shady himself, Eminem ( though I like the peanut ones.)

You're right, it's an urban youth "gangstah" thing. We associate "gangstah" talk with black Americans because they started it.
