Regarding Henry w/ Harrison Ford is good. He's recovering from a gunshot wound to the head, if I remember correctly....he starts out with paralysis and memory loss. It might not focus on the paralysis part as much as you might want it to though. Still a very good movie...=)

Well, I'd consider it a good Lifetime movie - "Sleeping With the Devil" stars Tim Matheson and Shannon Doherty. It's based on a true story, supposedly, but only the second half is about recovering from paralysis - not the whole movie.

My Left Foot is a movie based on a true story about a person born with a crippling condition , but through his willpower, talent and love of his mother he evolves into a brilliant poet. He never recovers from his condition, but his body does not limit his mind.

Not particularly. It's best to watch empowering movies of people who make it through severe hardships. Sadly the only good example I can think of is Forrest Gump which the whole world has watched already.
