If the world's countries were to sign a document declaring the world into one country, which was a Federal Republic government. Would it be better off if we all united (legally united not personally) or would it be better the way it is currently? Take into consideration of these few things that would still exsist: There'd still be hate amoungst the MiddleEast, For that short period of time there'd still be different types of currency, and there'd still be for a period of time many different poverished areas too. So please tell me your oppinion on which of "these worlds" would be Better, and please think about this question Litterally as possible.

no-we'd get pulled down by the majority of poor, undeveloped countries until the whole world watches "Survivor" in huts, and we have a 80% tax rate to help our countrymen in Darfur, or Krapistan or wherever...

Its impossible for something as you described to take place w/o the use of force. This will happen and the UN will likely be the center of it. Israel will likely be excluded since the UN is the modern center of anti-semetism. This one world government will be lauded in europe, democrats here will pine, protest and clamour for us to join it, conservative republicans will see it for what it is and try to prevent us from joining. That new power will march on all their percieved enemies to conquer them and bring them into submission. A strong US will be able to with stand them for a time, a strong US and an armed populace will make any force attempting to take suffer extremely heavy losses.
Of course the better one would be democratically based, but the socialists in the UN would never allow that.

I THINK YOU REALLY ANSWERED YOUR OWN QUESTION. THERE ARE TOO MANY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ALL OF THE COUNTRIES AS IT IS NOW. IF YOU THINK CERTAIN AREAS ARE DANGEROUS TO BE IN NOW, IT WOULD BE WORSE. BESIDES, WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD BE PRESIDENT? SCAREY THOUGHT, HUH.
