i say "new" becuase i never really talked to her before and now im getting hitched to her son. so i feel like theres a big distance between us.

All you can do is be yourself try to carry on an adult conversation don't be shy or scared..Try to get along with her the best you can..You are getting married to her son not her..So it will all get better in time..Just be happy and proud talk to her with respect that's about you can do..
Just remember one thing you are who you are and what you are..You do not have to please her all the time she can take the good with the bad..

be yourself and let her get to know you. be good to her son. most of the time mothers just want someone good for their son. be who you are and do the things that you do. don't be fake. hang out with her and let her get to know the woman her son has fallen for.
