Why are people so reay to believe their own leaders are to blame, rather than the evil wrong doers?
London recieved 4000 bombs during the blitz. Israel (before their attack) had recieved 3000. Britain levelled Germany in response. Surely Israel is taking a very measured response in (the only) comparison.

Because its easier to blame a disliked leader, especially when you're groping for anything to blame him for. That said, I've not heard anyone blame the media for starting the wars, they are to be blamed for consorting with the enemy and a few, treason.
For Bush's enemies there is nothing to low or too far to reach for to blame on him. His internal enemies are stopping at nothing to trash and belittle him. Lincoln, who lauded as one of our great presidents, imprisoned senators, politicians and news people for attempting to undermine the war effort. I really wish Bush would take a page or 2 from his book...

This question is rather naive.. When news is reported, there is always a "cut off point". This means that some news reports only start from a certain point and ignore what happened before. The rockets which have been spraying onto Israel are doing so as retaliation and defence, because Israel has been attacking Gaza and oppressing the West Bank and kidnapping the neighbouring government and various other civilians and keeping many Lebanese in their jails despite promising to free them. Israel has been provoking its neighbours in a build up that included israel declaring that it was in a state of war. Then a couple of Israeli soldiers were captured by Lebanese on the border where israel was already illegally occupying a small part of Lebanon. Israel then appeared to go berserk and all these rockets, most of which miss, have been fired at Israel in retaliation, while Israel demolishes Lebanon with the most advanced weaponry in the world,. The bombs that blitzed London in WW 2 were bombs, not mickey mouse rockets. The bombs were dropped by the Germans who were the aggressors as everyone agrees, including the Germans. Were the British fanatical to fight back at Hitler, who had openly expansionist racist policies, and had conquered most of Europe?

Because it's easier to believe that than to believe that pure evil exsists in the world! But the media & governments don't help the situation by over zealous and exaggerated reporting! The media/governments can make society believe whatever they want to and most people just accept what they're told as the truth. And unfortunately some leaders of countries are evil...

We have lost the great generation that gave us our freedom. Most people alive in the USA. have not a clue what is going on. They also have no since of self reliability.
