I think I'd like it more if I was working for myself.

I actually love working and do not hate my job, but there are times when I get upset because I'm surrounded by morons.
I mean how can people in management positron be complete idiots sometimes? Can't wait until I'm my own boss.

By the way HAPPY FRIDAY WOO HOO!

It's all the same. Each presents different sets of circumstances - problems. A lot of people want to work for themselves because they don't get along well with others - but it's a catch 22 - because working for yourself means you really have to hustle and be even more of a people person - to get business and keep afloat, and maybe, make some money!

I believe to be happy working - not just tolerate what you do - you need to find a good balance between something that pays your bills and a little extra, while being something that you like. It's a compromise. Not that extreme "do what you love" crap. Absolutely falls into that "too good to be true" saying our parents always hammered into our heads. I know too many people who have done what "they love" - which put them in sour financial position, because maybe it was a hobby that ultimately wasn't profitable as a career/job. Or my personal experience - I was a newspaper reporter and I LOVED my job, but I HATED the fact that I was skimming by in life... really - 80-100 hours a week for a measly $4-500.00 a week? Gross no less! Please! In Southern California! Hahahaha.. people still can't believe I even had enough gas to get to my interviews!

It's a fine line my friend - tread carefully...

A very good question!
I hated my job. But I still gotta work hard and face several ignorant person, put my ear to the ground, be the rock, get attitude, know what I want, play the game, look beyond and dress right.
That is besides the need to work and pay my bills and other liabilities such as housing and automobile. ^)

The majority of the time, I love my job. I don't hate work, but wish I didn't have to work as much as I do. I'd love to go to part-time.

Hate my job as a CSR, but I make the best of it...pay is good and I have 5 year old to raise.

Offset that with my love and passion...writing. Im writing a book that will be published by the end of this year or beginning of next. That makes me happy, very happy! Hopefully, I will be a full-time author one day and leave the world of customer service behind me! : )

I love to work and I use to like my job until I found out how the company really was. I know there is always going to be bs in a company but when I feel that I have no faith in a company that will allow me to advance because of my knowledge and not because they like me then its time for me to move on.

Don't have a job, but I would understand why you would want to work for yourself. Let money work for you, don't work for money. You control money. That's something I read in a book. The reason why people get up to go to work in a hurried manner is because they need to earn money to pay off their taxes, bills, debts, mortgage, and all. Without money, you can't really live. See, there are two types of sentiments you get when you work.. Fear and desire (got it from a book). Fear of not earning money to pay off things and desire of acquiring your satisfactions. "Fear pushes you out the door, and desire calls to you. Enticing you toward the rocks. That’s the trap." Don't fall for the trap.

I realized that I'm digressing. Sorry haha.

I love my job. I have no problem working. My problem comes into play when I walk out feeling like less than a human being. This problem becomes more of a problem when I take it with me onto the road, into my house and into my sleepless bed.

You know what? That scares me.
