Jeez I haven't really though about it. But I think with just a little practice in some F1 cars most of them would be able to handle it okay, after all if they can handle those big heavy stock cars one would think the lighter, better responding and handling of F1 cars wouldn't be a real big problem.Someone is bound to tell you NASCAR drivers can only turn left but you and I know that's a crock full. The Cup boys do have a couple of road course tracks they drive on every year. These guy's are professionals I think they could handle it.

The majority of them would probably stall the cars before getting out of the pits for the warm-up lap, the standing start would confuse them and all of them would wet their pants going through a corner like Eau Rouge, the Lesmos at Monza or the Spoon Curve at Suzuka and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.
Several years ago I was at Michigan International Speedway for a CART race and Bill Elliott did a handful of laps in Eddie Cheever's car; he was pathetic - on an oval track that he was familiar with.
Attt laz2627: Jeff Gordon and Juan Pablo Montoya drove each other's cars at Indianapolis for a publicity stunt, but, when did Tony Stewart drive an F1 car at Indianapolis and who owned the car? Inquiring minds want to know.

well..few things, both Jeff Gordon and "smoke" have tested F1 cars at Indy in the last few years on the infield so not as if it would be new to them, second, didn't some nice man named Montoya just leave a highly successful F1 career to race Nascar, so i guess he would have a chance, plus in answer to the first reply, i seem to remember they go right a few times at Sonoma and Watkins Glen so i doubt it would be that much of a problem!!!

they Nascar drivers would fall in love with the brakes and acceleration of the lighter more nimble cars. They would hate what happens when one tire comes in contact with an others competitor's tire.

I think a lot of them would do a pretty dam good job. A lot of the drivers have races everything under the sun, especially Stewart.

Robby Gordon would probably win, with all his open-wheel experience.
