For some reason, California sun has "targetted" my face only. I normally darken in the summer, but this time my face looks like it belongs on some other neck! (P.S. I have no skin-color hangups, but some tans look freakish instead of sexy - your help appreciated)

I would start loofaing (is that a word) to take off some of the dead layers of your skin. Its good for your completion and It will give you a nice glow. Its the dead skin cells that hold so much of that tan.

Try using foundation during the day and during the night use a product with whitening in it for the face like Fair and Lovely face cream, they have nutrients to soothe the skin and lighten it.

Get tanning stuff that naturally tans your skin and do the rest of your body to match. Or go to a tanning salon.

Well you can't really speed up the process. What you can use are tanners on your body. They usually last 2 days or until your next shower. Once you are one color all over you will no longer have to use a self tanner.

You could use tanning spray or go to a tanning bed and put a face mask on.

Start wearing hats to prevent the sun from hitting your face. Sunscreen works too, they have one just for faces.
