When I was a youngster, I remember a city block loaded with 1957 Chevy's...and I thought to myself that there couldn't be a nicer looking car than they looked like back then.

Today, most cars on the road look alike and have no style.

If a '57 Chevy comes around, it always catches my eye like a beautifully endowed lady.

Do you believe any of the newer cars could ever have the appeal of a '57 Chevy?

they'll never replace the '57 chevy...but if they made a car like it they could probably pull in tons of money. they're kinda trying to bring back a little bit of the '50s styling w/ the buick lucerne and lacrosse. they have some chrome and ventaports on them that the old buicks had. but i love the '57 chevy. and '59 cadillac. two best cars.

The weird thing in 1957 is that Ford outsold the Chevy. The '57 Ford turned out to be a rust bucket and oil burner. I guess they do fool some of the people some of the time.

The '57 Chevy is considered to have extraordinary styling and was a highly considered car even then. Today it is a collector's car.
The '56 Cadillac El Dorado was a similarly beautiful car, but of course much more expensive. Chevy about $2,200.00 Cadillac about $4,800.00

The '57 Bel Aire was a car that caught a lot of people's eye due to its styling. It had "personality". The worth of it strictly has to do with supply and demand. There are no more and more people want them now than before.

Absolutely not! The cars from that era are definitely one of a kind and stand out. You're right... the cars today look alike and do not have the appeal as the Chevy's and Caddie's of that time.

Personally, I'm a sucker for a Caddie with Fins... I plan on owning one someday! :)

You've answered your own question. I too thought the '57 Chevy was the best there was and probably still is.

'57 Chevy is a part of Americana. As far as cool factor goes....I'd choose the '56

There are a few, but thats a matter of opinions. I like the FORD GT, but is quite expensive, and the Infiniti G35 coupe. But like I said earlier, is a matter of opinion.

Not unless they can get with it and give it style, a two tone paint job which rocks, room for everyone, good looking lights, and chrome. Nowadays they'd better throw in good gas mileage.
