Well, I spent a lot of hours reading about the first month or so after the baby was born so I would be ready-I read What To Expect the First Year. I also talked to all the people who I knew I would have no time to talk to once the baby came-you know, like that cousin or aunt you haven't spoken with in a while. I played Soduku and crossword games on the computer and just tried to do all the little leisure things I liked because I knew free time would be limited in the months to come. I know this is morbid, but I also tape recorded all the advice I wanted to give my child as she grew up in case something happened to me during the c-section.

Good luck!

Good Lord..I wish I knew!! I'm 38 weeks and feeling the saaaame way. I've tried putting a scrap book for the baby together. I also write in a journal to the baby (which i'll let her read when she's an adult). Yahoo answers is alway good *wink*

You could also re-organize the nursery about 20 million times like I have! LOL

Best of luck with your ♥birth♥!! We're so close! YAY!!!

the best cure for boredom after a pregnancy according to me would be to try to get pregnant again.

Make the most of it! Listen to the quiet. Read a novel (not about babies). Sleep through the night. Have your friends over and make noise! Go out! Best of luck with the 'final push' of your pregnancy! :)

You could make a list of all the people you want to send birth announcements to, look on-line for cute games/fun things to do with your baby -- trust me, you'll be too tired once he/she gets here to surf the net. Call all your girlfriends (especially those with kids) to catch up and get lots of sympathy. I reorganized the baby's clothes and just sat in the nursery and dreamed about how wonderful my life was going to be. Congratulations!

Oh yeah, you could make some dinners to freeze to make things easier during those first few weeks!

washing and folding all the baby clothes
packing and preparing for hospital
watching baby story and discovery channels all about babies
calling up old friends
cooking up some new recipes you can find online or maybe some you already have.
invite over a friend and play cards or a board game or something
congrats and good luck !

ORGANIZE BABY THINGS!
My husband had to work a lot and I was alone a lot. I know its boreing and the anticipation is driving you crazy! Organizing the baby things over and over never got old to me. Seeing the things I had make me feel better and relaxed, knowing that I was ready. It also made me feel close to my baby even though I couldnt hold her yet. Folding the little clothes and things that I knew she would be wearing soon was relaxing.

Get your home real clean and organized because when you bring the baby home that will be the last thing you will think about or have time for. Try to relax and sleep so you are not so tired when you have your baby.
