I went to the doctor today because I wasn't feeling well. So, I had to pee in a cup and all that jazz. He asked me if I was sexually active or if I ever have been. i lied and told him I wasn't. I've only slept with one man and it was over a year ago. So, what I wanna know is.... does he know if I did or not? Does he know that I lied? Can that little cup of urine tell him that?

It turns out I have a urinary track infection and the nurse said he asks everyone that question.

I lied to my doctor because I am a minor and i would be DEAD if my parents ever found out. Besides, It is a HUGE MISTAKE that I would rather bury and forget about. God's forgiven me and now I'm ready to move on.
Also, he didn't examine my vagina. And, I slept witht hat guy a year ago and so there would be no sperm in my urine. And, even then... I never allowed him to ***.

The cup of urine can't tell him if you have been with a man, he was just asking so he could test for STD's, pregnancy, infections, PID, etc. My gynocologists automatically tests for pregnancy at each visit, so yours may have just been getting a heads up. They ask everyone that question each time you go in (or at least it is one the paper you fill out at the beginning of the visit)

The only way that a doctor could possibly know if youre a virgin is if he was there. They say that they can tell sometimes by the lining of you vagina. Before you lose your virginity, it should be really smooth, and after you lose it, it becomes rough and sort of bumpy, but everyone is different and spme are rought from the get-go. So really there is no way. The hymen ( your "cherry")doesn't always tear (pop) some peoples never do. SO that also proves nothing. Don't worry about it. I went through the smae thing when i was younger! Even though you are a minor, the doctor-patient privacy act prohibits him from telling your parents.

I'm not sure if he could have told by the urine but if he examined you, he could certainly tell if if the hymen were intact or had been broken. Also because no matter how well you clean, there will ALWAYS be some semen left in the vagina. The truth will ALWAYS come out so fess up now.

Nah. I believe doctors can only find diseases/infections in urine. If you don't have a STD, there's no way for him to see that you've had sex. Unless he did a vaginal exam. Don't feel bad about lying. If you know for sure you don't have a STD or anything like that, it's nothing to worry about. But if you were the least bit worried about something like that, I'm pretty sure you would tell him. :)

well he is a doctor and can run tests but if there is sperm in the urine he will know. hey check this out if they found all that different sperm in that girl that was messing with all those guys well surely they can spot some in your vagina. your doctor visit isn't just to see if your having sex.

You should never lie like that! What do you care what he knows? Are you a minor? Listen tell your doctor the truth every time for your sake. He probably thinks you have a bacterial infection.

sweetie, there is absolutely NO REASON you should ever lie to your doctor. Ever! withholding any type of imformation can result in a misdiagnosis and costs you your life. Your doctor is not there to judge you. If he does, get another doctor. You don't pay him all that money to look down on you. He's there to help you.

Hakuna Matata (no worries!) He can't tell that from your urine unless you are pregnant. You still should never lie to a doctor.
Good luck! *:-)

don't worry he was just asking for differential diagnosis. inasmuch as you are not feeling well he wanted to rule out Urinary tract infections or any STD brought on by active sexual activity. that's all.

Not unless you are pregnant. If you have an STD, he would be aware. SOME tests for STD's can be done on urine, but it would have been sent away, and you would have given your consent.
