The Crusades is a good one. Silly Christians...killing all those non-believers.

The Holocaust is probably the worst atrocity. Not only the worst atrocity ever committed by man to this point in history, but also the worst one to ever be ignored by the Catholic church. AND...the worst atrocity to have been denied to have happened by soo many people.

Slavery of Africans in America was not the best idea in the whole world, but I don't want to see one tear shed or one whimper because the Jews have endured thousands and thousands of years of slavery and torture by many many different cultures.

The worst atrocity ever committed by man ever? I'm sure the only thing that can't be blamed on any one race or culture or country would be the horrors that we have caused to our environment. The Nazis killed six million Jews. Mankind is killing the planet.

What would you have done to stop the killing during WWII?

What are you doing NOW to stop the killing of the planet and all of it inhabitants?

I suppose that depends on who was the victim. Somehow I'm feeling that the dropping of the Atomic bomb would also rank with the other mentioned catastrophes. I cant help but wonder if bombing the civilian population was the answer, instead of the military. Perhaps a military historian could shed some light on this.
Another might be the mass destruction of the indigenous population of America.

I would think it was the treaty of Versailles. That thing screwed us over and led to both WW2 and holocaust which are most devastating instances in the world.
