If you want to have sims 2, do you need to install something first from sims 1?

can you just buy sims 2 and use it, or do you have to buy sims 1 first and install something for sims 2 to be able to work? can you just borrow someones sims 1, install it, and then use sims 2 or do you actually have to BUY it?

you have to buy sims 2.......regardless if u have Sims 1 or not.....you dont need to install anything from sims 1.....it requires the disk to play

No, you just need the main cd of the sims 2. If you get something like The Sims 2: Night Life you cannot use it without the main Sims 2.

You don't have to have sims1 game in order to play sims2 games. The sims 1 game was the first game that EA Games made. The sims 2 is a more advanced game. They don't interface so you can have both on your computer, but they are 2 different games.
