What language would be most common in the U.S. if we were all pacifists?

Would we still be free? I love peace, but I love freedom more. How do you feel?

Depends on when you ask the question... in the 40s it would be German (perhaps Japanese on the West coast) from the 50s on Russian... Today Arabic or Persian. Pacifist are the lackeys of anyone who chooses to conquer them.

Ok, so I'd say many are pacifists in a loose sense as they don't like to go to war. Now, if you read the history books, the Colonies didn't want war. They simply wanted representation back in Parliment. When they didn't get it, then they went to war. It was after all peaceful avenues had been exhausted. So, to answer your question, the U.S. was founded by pacifists......... and we are free............. English is the most common language......... We'd speak English in a pacifist society.

Of course, if England hadn't warred for Frances northwestern territories, would some of us speak French? If Texas hadn't joined the U.S., would they all speak Spanish? (ok, bad example).

Probably German on the east coast and Japanese on the west. I'm perfectly happy with English thank you.
