Its a map of all the stations in the island cos the hatch our chracters are in is only 1 part of the whole experiment....iv seen the whole of series 2 so il say no more but i think the map will play a part in series 3 too can't wait 4 that!

It a map of all the other stations. Marked with the names of the staions as well. It's my theory that they are all connected like a big circle.
And the ? mark on the map was when Mr. Eko climbed that bluff and saw it on the ground they went iNto that hatch and it was the video of our Losties in the hatch.
But I guess no one really knows for sure. We'll find out 10 years from noe when the show ends!

it is a map which leads Locke and Mr echo to another hatch at the site where Locke found the plane. in this hatch they find proof that the whole deal with pressing the button is a a weird experiment.

It is the map of all the 'stations' on the island. The symbols are the names of the stations. The hieroglyphics on the timer when it reached 0 translate to "underworld".

Are you in the UK or Australia? I'm in Oz and it was the finalle of season 3. Very confusing stuff!
That dude, who was with the scottish dude drew it in ultraviolet paint.
