Yes you can, I live in DFW area & a old computer tech, and i've left computer's, laptop's, monitors etc in the car during our hottest time of the year when temps are 100+ constantly, and they still work. I mean it will cause stain's in the color & it isn't the best conditions for electronic's, but they will continue to work, just as long as you let them cool down a little bit before using.

No, it will damage your computer. Maximum operating temperature is written on the owners manual or under the laptop for your guidance.

It's probably not the best conditions, but if you absolutely have to keep it in your car, I would suggest putting it in the trunk b/c I've heard that it's the coolest place in the car.
