It's not wrong to want revenge. It would be wrong to get revenge. A better plan is to avenge.

First of all : it is a spontaneous reflex and hence understandable as such. There is no measure to judge about wanting revenge.
In civilised societies the law rules how to revenge and how much.
The ideas of justice replace - or should replace - the vengefulness.
It is barbarian to indulge in uninhibited vindictiveness and to worship Fury in lust for power or hateful destruction.
It is more comfortable to judge other people revenging themselves than not to go to far when revenging oneself beyond any legal control.

It's not bad to want revenge as that's a natural feeling, but it may be bad to take it. I think it's always bad for the state to take revenge on your behalf, like capital punishment.

Although I am no Christian, I agree with the Christian message of forgiveness. Forgiveness is a difficult thing, but once you've forgiven somebody for something really bad, you do feel better about it.

No, you're not bad, you're human.

I don't bother with revenge though, cos I know that (and this sounds a bit kooky) what goes round comes round (or call it Karma if you like). They'll get theirs in the end. A previous boss screwed me over big time and I was very upset, but as I was also dealing with a seperation from my husband, didn't take any action against her. Anyway, three months later, she was demoted and ended up working for one of the people I had worked with in her team. That hurt her, far more than anything I could have done, so you see, it really does work!

Good luck.

It is human to want revenge, but it is a bad feeling. Trying to obtain the revenge can get you troubles.
It is better to let the Karma take care of that and for your soul it is better to forgive.

It's human nature to want revenge, Shakespeare wrote that "Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold".........however if you do nothing, or take LEGAL rather than violent action you have proven yourself the better man.

Revenge seems a part of human nature ,look at all the problems in the world today.Revenge tends to create another problem. It does though depend on what a person has done to you for you to seek getting even.Maybe you can talk the problem through thus rising above the person who has caused you these feelings. You could gain common ground by talking to them and by talking problem through you will get it out of your mind.

Nothing better then sweet revenge. LOL
Seriously you can get into trouble if you try to get revenge but you let the anger get the best of you. So try to just forget about it.

Revenge doesn't always give you the result you want. Sometimes it might bring you down to the same level as the person who did you harm. I'm hoping you can take the high road. Be bigger and better.

Wanting revenge is understandable, but planning and carrying it out is a waste of energy and could cause things to escalate. I like to think that fate eventually teaches us the consequences of our actions, both good and bad.
