The information what u have said is FALSE.

U can define your own Virtual memory size, depending upon the Free space available in all the Drives of the hardisk.

The Best option is to 1:3 ratio, that is if u have 256 MB RAM u can allocate 256 MB virtual memory in C-Drive, another 256 in D-Drive and one more in e-Drive, it will result good.

Also please dont make the Virtual memory too much larger, its slows down the system

False!
Virtual memory is extra memory that the computer can use when it runs out of RAM memory. Virtual memory is hard disc based memory therefore it is limited to the amount of space that is available on the hard drive.
