Texaco MTX is a brand name line. The dealer will use bulk 85W90 from Mopar (most likly). Any 85W90 will work for this application. Unless the dealer gave you a specific brand to buy, it is really up to you what brand you use. Mitsubushi will most likly use Mopar gear oil, as Chrysler is a parent company to them and many of their vehicles will share parts, and engines. Most oil is oil, and it doesnt' matter the brand name, just as long as the viscosity is the required. Go with what the dealer tells you. Even if it is different from the manual, (if this happens, call another dealer and conferm this) as it has probably been a recall or problemed area in the past and the company have found that it works better with a different fluid.

It seems that only Napa and the dealer have real Spiii Transmission fluid.
Napa has Eneos Spiii for about $6.69 a quart.
It definitely wasn't easy to find an alternative source for this fluid.

the kind that the manufacturer recommends, check ur owners manual. If u don't have one go on-line and search for the manual. Some places have it where u can look at the manual for free, usually the manufacturer. It's prob going to be what the Stratus uses too, not really sure though.
