You may want to try SCOTT'S Turf Builder with Summer guard. This is a lawn fertilizer with insect control all in one. It is recommended to be used once a season from June-August so you can still apply it now. It will help with insects and green up the lawn as well. Best of luck!!!

I don;'t think you can, short of moving to Antartica where I will bet its far too cold for the little blighters. I agree with another concrete or keeping your grass green, but I truly believe it cannot be done. Try using some garlic in your dogs food source, this helps.
