Well i would first like to say drugs are not for everyone. However i had consistent mind shattering moments of overwhelming beauty and appreciation for all aspects of this sometimes ugly life while on certain Psychadelic drugs. They should really be legal in small doses. They have made me cry as a semi grown man in front of all of my freinds on multiple occasion maybe im crazy but there is an amazing beauty in these experiences.
O yea and if u have never heard of books such as "on the road" or "Dharma bums" i recomend them to you as you seem to be interested in aspects of buddhism.

Well, in my life there have been many times that music has inspired me, spoke to my soul, or simply lifted me from a dark place. Every one of these songs are Aerosmith songs. Permanent Vacation, Amazing, Hole in my Soul, Dream On, and many others. The lyrics are much deeper than many realize, and the music is energizing and uplifting for me. As for a book that inspired me, there isn't only one book, there are many. I found my faith and path in life by reading To Ride a Silver Broomstick by Silver Ravenwolf. While this book is interpretational, it is also a wonderful introduction to the possibility that our existence is predestined and an opportunity for growth. I would recommend this book as an introduction type of book for those that are seeking to expand beyond the confines of structured religions that claim to be the "one true faith". Also, Joseph Campbell's The Power of Myth is a wonderful book for educational reasons. His book teaches that we need myth and faith to truly live, not simply exist. It is written in a conversational manner that some may find more difficult to really dig into, but if you are going to read this book, read the whole book. It is worth the time.

The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. Seneca; On the Shortness of Life they both help. It's why writing is the greatest invention that humanity ever came up with, so we can enjoy minds long dead forever.
Otherwise The Illiad and the Odyssey or just for sheer amazing wonderfulness, The Leopard by Giussepe Tomas di Lampedusa.

I would have to say the Bible has had more impact on my life than any other. My mother began reading it to us when we were just little people. I am not overly religious, but I am very spiritual and there is a lot of good in my life that can be directly attributed to the greatest book ever written. Other amazing books would be The Purpose Driven Life and works by Mark Twain and Emily Dickenson.

I'd have to say "Mans Search For Meaning" by Victor Frankl- that we all are questioned by life and must find our purpose in it because that is the ONLY path to finding lasting happiness.
Also "Walden" by Henry David Thoreau- "simplify, simplify, simplify..."

I would definitely pass on the album "Master of Puppets" by Metallica. The reason is because it gives views on war, faith and insanity. It kinda changed my life.

i would say "the giver". It taught me that there really is independence in our world. And that tradition and unawknowledged reasons should be shown.
