They are usually just being condescending when they do that! I hate that. Just answer the question or don't--but don't judge my question!!!

Isn't it also irritating when someone asks a question but leaves out all relevant information that would determine the answer to the question, and you have to list multiple answers along with the conditions that would lead to each answer?

For example,
My chest hurts. Is it a heart attack?

Any doctor would probably bombard me with questions, about my medical history, my age, what activity I was doing when I felt the pain, if I had difficulty breathing, if the pain only occured upon exertion, or inhaling, etc. If it was localized on the left side of my chest or went down my arm...

And not many people would be able to one hundred percent diagnose me without getting some additional information, would they?

But sometimes there is a list of possible answers depending on other things

Did you recently have pnumonia or a virus, and is this pain mostly when you inhale? Might be pluerisy. Is this pain only when you are benchpressing 200? Might be a pulled muscle. Is this pain worse after eating, in the center of your chest, burning, and are you burping or feeling burning in your throat? Might be heartburn...

Now ask me why your car is making that weird noise like "chuga chuga" and pretend to be angry if I ask you if it does this only when you are trying to start it or when you are driving down the road...

Sometimes people are just trying to help but they need more information than you provided. There is no reason to be bitter about it.

Are you sure a 'question' answer can never be an answer or relevant to the question asked?

Isn't that due that most of the time the question begs for some relevance?

Sometimes the only way to answer a question is to ask one - and let the asker of the first question pull the answer from within.

i hate that.

its so annoying. sometimes they do that because you don't have enough information in your question like if you ask one about family members then they will ask "how old is your brother" so i've stated in my questions now how old people are.

but sometimes some of the info isn't necesary in answering it. they just do it to get points

Sometimes the question is NOT real clear on what is being asked.

It does not bother me no. I could care less how someone wants to answer my question.

That is because some don't make themselfs a little more clear on their questions. That's irritating!!!

You must have some pretty thin skin. This happens to all of us, not just you. If you'll just focus on the "real" answers, you'll be fine. Ignore the rest.
