I'm with Zoer and Sabersquirrel. It's just ok, but you should go a little bigger if you can.
Do you have a filter on this tank? If not, it doesn't matter what size you put him in. If you're not changing his water often enough, he's going to feel it. If the tank isn't filtered, you should change about 50% of the water every three or four days. If it is filtered, expect to change about 10% of the water every week to 10 days.
Good luck with your little guy!

If anything it's a big small. Generally you should have around 2.5 gallons for a betta. That said it will work just fine if you change the water about every 4-5 days. See links for details on betta care and housing.
PS- My male bettas live in 5 gallon tanks. My betta females live in a 30 gallon tank with lots of hiding places. (Females aren't as aggressive as males, but they will fight until they establish a pecking order. Or they just spontaneously decide to start fighting again.)

that's distinctive which you're superb making plans to hold one betta in it as a replace of finding to stuff it with as many fish as achieveable. With a tank this length and the heater and each little thing else your betta will probable be now not in basic terms spoiled regardless of if very healthful :) so some distance as concepts, i could in simple terms say that betta's love laying interior the leaves of stay flowers, so in all probability upload those. and so as that additionally they like a sort of nutrients, in specific freeze dried bloodworms. Betta's are actually not huge fanatics of air pumps so in simple terms make confident the glide is low. Yay for any guy or woman who truthfully is time-honored with of/cares with regard to the superb thank you to maintain a fish!

It's totally fine. Bettas are part of the family anabantidae, which have a labrynth organ that allows them to breathe air by gulping it. As a general rule, you can never go too big, but you can certainly go too small. Remember that in the wild they have plenty of space to swim around.

Though it is a lot better than some idiots give their betta, it is still a little small. I would give a betta at least a 2.5g if you can't get bigger but a 5g would be nice for him.
