When you can no longer say I love you and mean it. When you can no longer put your feelings aside for the greater good. When you are so unhappy that you have thoughts of hurting the other person both mentally and Physically.

Strange enough, it is when your partner and you decide so.
If for instance, you decide that your marriage is over, but he does not. He may do things that he should have been doing before and try to coax you back. That happens.
On the other hand hes may say to you, that is it. You are still in love with him. You don't want to loose him. You try all sorts of thing to change his mind also.
Even further down the road, you all may be even separated already, and something happens. Next thing you all are dating, just to see what you have missing.
In a nut-shell, there is no knowing.
Love is very, very strange.
